NEBOSH
Diploma
The NEBOSH Diploma was developed specifically for health
and safety professionals and provides a core health and safety knowledge
transferable across industry, commerce and the public sector. Combined
with an understanding and appropriate application, it underpins the
competent performance of an Occupational Health and Safety Practitioner.
This course is offered through Health and Safety Services accredited
centre D364.
What You Will Study
The syllabus comprises four core units:
Unit A: Managing health and safety
Unit B: Hazardous agents in the workplace
Unit C: Workplace and work equipment safety
Unit D: Workplace-based Assignment
Examinations
There are written examination papers
for each of the three core units . Each exam is of three hours
duration. Papers for Units A, B and C will be offered on Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday mornings respectively.
Practical Assessment
The formative assessment component
comprises of one workplace-based assignment externally set and assessed
by NEBOSH.
Course Duration
35 days tuition (7 x 1 week) over a six-month period. Plus 4 exam
days.
