IOSH MANAGING SAFELY for CONSTRUCTION
MANAGERS
Entry Requirements:
There are no entry requirements, however a working knowlege and
experience of a construction site will be an advantage.
Target Audience:
This is now a four day course. Managing Safely for Construction
Managers is for those required to manage safely and effectively
in compliance with both their organisation's policy and best practice
in Health and Safety. This course qualification can be used as a
stepping stone for those looking to take a greater part in health
and safety on the construction site. Managing Safely for Construction
Managers comprises of seven core modules requiring a total direct
input period of at least 24 hours plus assessment time.
Modules:
Module 1 Accident/ Incident / ill health / Causation/ Investigation/
Avoidance
Module 2 Legislation
Module 3 Risk Assessment and Safety Management
Module 4 Reactive Monitoring
Module 5 Active Monitoring
Module 6 Controlling Common Workplace Hazards
Module 7 Human Factors
Certificate:
An IOSH Managing Safely for Construction Managers Certificate is
awarded to all those who attend the course and successfully complete
the written and practical assessments.
Course Contents:
Course includes safety management, reactive monitoring risk assessment
and risk control , active monitoring, review and audit, health and
safety legislation, hazards - general and organisation specific
option. A number of written assessments must be completed.
